The Department of Environment and Natural Resources [DENR] is asking the public to keep their eyes out for two invasive vine species presently growing in Bermuda – kudzu and the hyacinth bean.
Red-eared sliders are non-native to Bermuda and have been identified as a pest species.
The main objective of this plan is to reduce, by trapping, the number of feral red-eared sliders living in the wild and make legislative reforms that will eliminate them from the local pet trade.
