Red-eared sliders are non-native to Bermuda and have been identified as a pest species.

The main objective of this plan is to reduce, by trapping, the number of feral red-eared sliders living in the wild and make legislative reforms that will eliminate them from the local pet trade.

The plan is an evolving document and will be revised periodically. Trapping data will be continually recorded and new methods of removal evaluated for effectiveness.
