Nature Reserves

Bermuda's nature reserves serve as critical habitat for the island's most threatened protected species

Our Terrestrial Conservation team is responsible for managing over 300 acres of Government owned nature reserves. They also provide assistance to the Bermuda National Trust, Bermuda Audubon Society and the Walsingham Trust in the management of their privately owned nature reserves.

We work closely with volunteer groups in the restoration of our nature reserves.

We also develop and implement management plans for nature reserves as required by the National Parks Act 1986.
