Today the Department of Conservation Services released the Recovery Plan for Bermuda's Killifish. This plan is the 7th recovery plan written for protected species listed under the Protected Species Act 2003. The Killifish Recovery Plan covers both the Bermuda Killifish (Fundulus bermudae) and the Lover's Lake Killifish (Fundulus relictus). The 43-page plan gives information on the ecology of the species, threats to killifish, current conservation activities and taxonomy. It also outlines steps to be taken to ensure the recovery of both species, including short-term and long-term actions. All of the protected species recovery plans are available to download from our Species Recovery webpage or you can view a hard copy at the BAMZ Library (by appointment).
