The beach at the Alexandra Battery in St. George's is currently closed to the public because a turtle nest was discovered there yesterday. So far, 15 hatchlings were found, with 12 of them being released to the sea. (above photo from BerNews.com)

Staff from BAMZ and the Department of Parks are currently stationed at the beach to monitor the site and to advise any visitors that the area is closed.
This is a very exciting discovery for Bermuda since we have not had a confirmed Green turtle hatching in the wild since 1937!
