The Department of Conservation Services would like to advice the public that renovations are to begin at the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo (BAMZ) to replace the Aquarium Hall roof and undertake internal renovations. The Aquarium Hall will be closed from Monday October 6th and is expected to reopen in March 2015.
For clarification the renovations are restricted to the Aquarium Hall only and the rest of the facility will remain open for the duration of the project. The areas remaining open are the Zoo, the Natural History Museum and Library, Local Tails and Discovery Room, Playground and Restaurant. The North Rock Tank will open when safe to do so and the gift shop will be relocated to one of the facility’s classrooms.
The Bermuda Zoological Society’s education programs will not be affected.
The Public will access through the normal admission’s entrance for the first week after which they will be redirected through a temporary entrance near the Seal Pool.
