The Protected Species Act (2003) aims to promote the recovery of Bermuda’s threatened species to the point where they no longer need human support and can be removed from the protected species list.
The Department has already published a series of Species Recovery Plans. Each plan is focused on a specific protected species and aims to provide a framework of actions to facilitate the recovery of that threatened species.
