Bermuda has a declared 200 nautical mile Exclusive Economic Zone, within which all Fisheries Regulations apply. The Marine Resources Section of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources is tasked with implementing and enforcing those regulations.
Bermuda's marine life is in delicate balance with its coral reef environment. To maintain the beauty and diversity of the underwater world for everyone to enjoy, a number of protected areas have been established where no harvesting is permitted.
